Jack and I have been having a great time this summer! Jack likes to dig for worms in the evenings before bathtime. Tonight when it was time to go inside, I told him he would have to leave his collection outside. I told him to tell them goodnight. Just as I was about to close the door, he turned and said, "Can I sing them a song?" So we went back outside, and he said, "I'm going to sing them the Mockingbird song." He looked at his container of worms and actually sang, "Hush Little Baby." Then he said, "Goodnight worms." And, he looked at me and said, "They really liked that." It was so sweet! I had a vision of him singing to his baby brother in a few months.
During the day, we've enjoyed getting reconnected with our playgroup friends. A couple of weeks ago we took the kiddos to play in some fountains on campus that spring up out of the ground. They were the perfect water activity for a hot summer day. One of the other moms,
Vika Jones, took some pics of the fun.
